31 Days of Unexpected Joy: Dreams (Day 3)

31 Days of Unexpected Joy: Dreams (Day 3)

Wherever there are dreams, there is joy, Jesus is always present. (2)

I love this quote from Pope Francis, taken in New York last week as he addressed children gathered to greet him in Harlem. I’ve had plenty of dreams, wishes, and goals in my day, but I never really thought of dreams as a source of joy, per se. I guess they would have to be, if Jesus was present in them, right? What an interesting concept! It seems as though Papa Francis is saying that, wherever joy is present, so is God. That makes a lot ofย sense to me, as God is in anything that is good, true, and beautiful.

Question to ponder today: how has God turned your dreams into sources of joy in your life? I’d love to know. ๐Ÿ™‚

Until tomorrow, God bless y’all.

  1. I think part of the reason dreams can be a source of joy is they give us hope for the future. Without some thoughts toward the future, it is very easy for joy to die. {Love this quote!}

  2. So simple yet so beautiful!!! God has turned my dream into sources of joy in way since I have stuck with exercise/running. it brings me more joy than I htought while taking care of my body:)

    1. Ah, interesting, Patty! I never thought about taking care of our body as a source of joy. Thank you for this perspective!

  3. Hmmm… When I was much, much younger… (before I decided to go to a business college to study accounting, finance, economics) I wanted to be a teacher.
    And now…
    I get to find JOY in teaching 2 adorable little students!

    1. Ha! God has a way of fulfilling those dreams, doesn’t He? I wanted to be a mailman because they got to deliver good news. And now I get to deliver THE Good News! ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ™Œโค๏ธ
